We are serving about 35 families a week, a total of nearly 500 individuals each month. Our food is donated by Capitol area Food Bank and we send a maintenance fee per pound received. Parishioners, including our children, donate about 80 pounds a week and periodically other groups donate also. We also help with electricity, rent and other needs upon request.
Needed is flour, oil, soap, sugar, laundry soap, canned meats, meaty soups and corn. Also diapers, 3 up. Not needed (comes from the Capitol Area Food Bank is rice, pasta, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jellies, sweets.
The Capitol Area Food Bank is low on donated food so we are very limited on what we receive. Any help you can give this summer with above is appreciated.
Any adult who has had the Ethics workshop and is free Monday mornings is invited to volunteer help. Volunteers meet at the parish hall on Post Oak Rd at 8:30 to set up and food is distributed between 9:30 and 11:30.
