Lumen Gentium Award Honorees   
“The laity are called in a special way to make the Church present and operative in those places and circumstances where only through them can it become the salt of the earth.” (Second Vatican Council: Dogmatic Constitution on the Church “Lumen Gentium” no. 33) 
  
Lay individuals who live their baptismal call in the extraordinary way through stewardship and leadership have been honored by the Diocese of Austin with “Lumen Gentium Award”. The award is given to one individual/couple from each parish, every two years.
