Congratulations on your upcoming Sacramental Marriage in the Catholic Church!
We are delighted that you are preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony in the Church. It is our hope and prayer that through your journey of preparation, you will acquire a deeper understanding of God’s plan for your marriage, and you will learn truths and skills to help you live out your new vocation. Preparation of marriage is a process is a mutual process of responsibility. Both of you are required to fulfill different steps of the requirements of the Church in order to help you to have long lasting marriage.

If one of you or both of you are Catholic and have been married by civil court, or by another Christian Pastor, you are now would like to bring your union in line with the Catholic Church and return to the reception of the Sacraments. This is call “Convalidation”. Convalidation makes valid and potentially sacramental that civil union only makes legal. You must follow the process of marriage preparation. If you are seeking to get marry in the Catholic Church, and if either party have been married validly in the Catholic Church before, whether Catholic, other Christians, civilly or non-Christian, the previous marriage will need to address with an annulment procession. Please wait until you have received a declaration of nullity before we can proceed to preparation of marriage.
